this is a really trick mod. i have been looking for a way to power my bead roller and this is awesome. how critical is the size of the sheaves???

Bill is your drill still holding up? What size pulleys are you using?

It's doing fine. The pulley on the drill is 1" and the one on the roller shaft is 14"

very cool modification to the bead roller ive been looking at manual beads here lately, what do you think you have total in that whole build?

I had the pulleys and the belt laying around.
The cable was left over from a parachute release that I installed on a drag car.
The material for the pedal was scrap from under the shear, Same with the Square tubing so they didn't cost anything.
The drill was $42.00 and the stand was $29.00
So $71.00 out of pocket.
The only thing that isn't obvious is that the shafts are metric so I had to wrap a piece of .008 shim around it so the pulley sheave would tighten up on it.
