@TigertailzBezerk yes, undoubtedly I'm sure that he could do it ,and I now know why he didn't do it at that time. He was seeking something new, and he made it perfect for us, the old fans like me, after that time of era. His recent releases proves it!! The latest two CDs "KING OF PAIN", "THE EVERLASTING" and the "CLASSIC LOUDNESS LIVE 2009" DVD just blewed me away!!

@special129 I am sure he could do it if he wanted to, I wonder why he don't though, I mean I KNOW he could do it. The new one kinda ruins the upbeat pace of the song in my opinion but its still cool. Akira if you ask me is the best guitarist alive, He sits right along side Randy Rhoads and EVH !

This is one of the most difficult guitar solos in the world, even hard for the person who created it. He could do it back in the day in the 80's and 90's, but its 20 years later, i don't think he can finger tap the way he use it. Akira is one of the best guitarist, if not THE best guitarist in the world, let him do what he wants, and enjoy the original studio recording. Loudness kicks ass, love them.

i really miss the original solo
though its ok since its still loudness
but its like they mellowed down unlike Anthem

dose anyone know where i can find this dvd..

this guitar solo sucks. i don't understand why akira doesn't play this song's original phrase which is one of his best works, while he still has enough skills to play it...why???
There is surely a lot of people of the opinion same as you. And Akira maintains high technique now, but he seems to give priority to an emotional performance. I am convinced that he aims at the tone like Jimi Hendrix.
