You Are Not My Enemy

This song was born out of feelings of rejection that tempted me to hate, but God in His mercy filled my heart with Love that is only of Him. We think people are our enemies because they hurt us or we don't understand them, but actually they are not our enemies. The hatred, the anger, the resentment, the silence, the lies...these are of the Enemy. People are valuable and I ask that God will always give me eyes to see the friend beyond who appears to be my enemy, no matter how much they hurt me. This is not easy. In fact, it is impossible for me alone. "With God, all things are possible."

The simple piano notes quickly caught my attention, and then your pure, sweet, clear voice started doing some amazing things. About one third of the way through, I thought to my self, "this is good!" Thank you so much for your encouraging words. It is a challenge to forgive when we are hurt, but the kind of Love God has given me seems to make it a delight to forgive once I surrender to it. I'm gonna do a redo of this song since I've been working on it day and night since this post.

Even when they are deliberately mean I know they are just projecting their own pain. I forgive because I have been forgiven more times than I deserve. Love covers a multitude of sins.
