there was nobody to thank except the coastguard and canadians.. our government betrayed us. i have no respect for any form of u.s. government after katrina/rita. this was the biggest failure in american history. people should be held accountable for the lives lost.

I'm a 48 year old female totally disable. I depend on meicare and Medcaid for the reason I was a housewife raising my childrem until 30 and now depend on Meidcare and Medcaid. I'm concerned on how I will be able to pay anything with thwlittle I recieve alreadt. Please do the right thing and helps us all... Thanks

I'm a Republican, but I must say Senator Mary Landrieu handled Cooper beautifully. She was the only one not blaming everyone else. All the other politicians were unavailable, in denial or blaming someone else. The Mayor continued to make mistakes before, during and after Katrina. He lost control of his own police department and failed to use available buses to get people out of the city. Anderson was juvenile and unproductive.

A year and a half later the demmocrap Governor and her Demmocrap Lt. Governor and demmocrap Sen.Mary and the Demmocrap Mayor of louisiana have only spent thousands of the Billions that were sent to help the poor.Wake-up and demand the demms who are in power to help the poor of new orleans.
