  • Shelley Winters as Nana Mary is probably my favorite character in the whole series. When she and Bev interact it's always hilarious. I want to be just like Nana Mary when I'm an old lady!

  • Shelley Winters was born August 18, 1920 and died January 14, 2006. She was 86 when she died and this episode is probably around 1991-1992. So she was anywhere between 71 and 72 years old in this episode. And in the 1997 episodes of Roseanne, she was 77 years old.

  • Did they ever tell Nana Mary's age on any of these episodes???

  • "and little darlene has boobies" lmao!!

  • @zzzzdreamzzz i agree I'm from a small town as well (Cadillac, Michigan), and it was 98% Caucasian until like the early 2000's. I don't really remember seeing any hispanic people there, and there was ONE black kid at my school. that and there was a mixed family in our town and they got ran out of town. this was in like '94. times have changed though I can tell ya that it's still predominately Caucasian, but there's a shitload of hispanics and alot more blacks then there was

  • I just noticed just how nice jackies' ass is, WoW! look at 0:56

  • Agree Shelley Winters was the best. Well even after 20 yrs, I still have Ziggy fantasies...lol. Character wise she played the part awesome! But best episode as far as humor bar none! The writers wrote her part perfect. Too many quotes to mention!

  • @tav2252 Dude, Nana Mary is a hippy, she goes with the flow and it ages you slower. Bev had a hard life and bad marriage, that's why she's aged more (and yeah, there's only like a 7 year age difference between the actresses)

  • There's no way Mary is old enough to be Jackie and Roseanne's grandmother. She looks the same age as Bev!

  • its funny how roseanne asked jackie what took them so long but before that she said, "oh your here already?

  • @patsaxon keep in mind its the early 90s late 80s when this show was on, I grew up in a small town as well, I don't recall any hispanic families and there was only like one african american family, it wasn't until the past 10-15 years that the diversity really set in in this place. someone mentioned that the other day where I work, how fast/much this place has changed. its about damn time too people are sheltered here.
