Garau Banda - An appeal to Nepalese to stop all violence and conflict

"Garau Banda" is composed and sung by Shishir Yogi, and the words are penned by Dr. Vishwanath 'Prem'. This song is a general request to stop the violence and conflict, which claimed lives of so many Nepali Sons and Daughters and which almost pushed country right into a Civil War. When released, this song was mainly referred to the State(Government) and the Maoists who were in a state of war with each other few years ago. Even though that conflict seems to have ceased now, there are many others visible in the horizon, and the song still is very relevant.

we should have fought with poverty and illiteracy but with fought physically with each other, we should have harnessed love and respect for each other but we were taught to hate and disparage each other, we should have raised abouve our self and would have helped each other but we became selfish, never tought of poors and people of grassroot levels and the result was this act of barbarism, a black stain on humainity and shame on each of us.
