@ClydeSha212 To my knowledge, no accidents have occurred as a result of the PowerQuick Ascender. While some other climbers, lacking the requisite safety mechanisms, already have had some accidents. It should be noted that the PowerQuick Ascender safety requirements have been adopted as the industry's standards. That's a considerable acknowledgment as to who makes a safe device. As Edge Ascension LLC's motto goes, Climb Safe or Die.

@ClydeSha212 This device appears slow to ground observers more so then to on-board users. But, more importantly, it is a safety device that was completely designed from an analysis of industry requirements related to safety. It is also designed around rope application, and as such, there are limits as to how fast you want to go in a rescue operation. Too fast and you risk injury to passengers and others in-situ.
