You never heard Jay Z get down over Juvenile's beats. That's because it didn't happen until DJ Trip One spun it that way. Peep this hot remix plus some other off the hook joints spun together for the ill mix. This video mixtape is hot!

  • I always listen to valid critisisms, i have a group of friends who wont let me hear the end of it if I mess up. But we've discussed yours to a point where I can see that your underlying premise is wrong. "Young B" is not the start of the 16 bars, it's part of the intro of the song. In fact, beyonce is still singing in that part (think cruisin down the west side highway). I've asked you to do better, you dont need records, you could just grab the MP3s and put a static image behind it.

  • I responded on that rmx, right ? The rest of the mix doesn't suck but it's far from good, just to make that clear.

And no: Those 16 bars are not in sync and harmonic. In fact, it ain't even 16 bars. The part you mentioned counts 14 bars, because "Young B..." is the start of the 16.

I repeat (for you to try out, tape and post it):

"Look for me" comes in on the third tact.

    "Young B" hits the one.

    Have a nice evening.

  • lolll, thats absolutely wrong. sorry man but you are showing your lack of knowledge here.

Look, let's stop the argument. You've seen what I've done, if you are sure it's wrong, try and remix it yourself and show us how it's done. I allow video responses.

  • errrr...i...dammit, why am i still responing...

    listen, fool!

    1. Off beat = sounding disharmonic

    2. Whole length of the mix = time of the blend

    3. It's not unusual? So why isn't Trip able to handle this one? What are you trying to say? That it's not starting on the wrong tact? That it's no bad to play a vocal on the wrong tact? I don't get it...

  • the jay-z lyric for bonnie and clyde starts with "Look for me, young, B, cruisin down the west side highway..." this isn't the beginning of his 16 bar verse, this is part of the intro of the song which is laid over the intro of the juvenile beat. Jay Z's 16 bars start with the lyrics, "Eyes behind shades, this necklace the reason, all my dates be blind dates..." which is dropped within the appropriate 16 bars of the juvenile beat.

  • The 16 bars are on time, and totally in synch with the underlying beat, harmonic and everything. I wouldn't have dropped this mix otherwise.

regarding point #2, the mix is 10 minutes long and has hits from Biggie, 50 and others. I don't think you are a hater, but you didn't really give this a good listen.

    Anyways peace and good beats...
