  • @MoveOverCasanova "Progressive" is defined by it's artistic tendencies in both composition and (sometimes) lyrics. It can reference classical (Yes referenced Stravinsky and even played Firebird Suite at the start of their shows.) Genesis had long songs that attempted stories in operatic fashion. ELP was doing similar work. The Beatles, despite the progressive tendencies of The White Album, were much more of a straight rock n roll band. Zep, a blues-based, hard rock band. Does that help?
