"Silly Girl Pimp Slaps Herself" aka "Judith Hoffman Betrayal"

Some emotionally unstable girl smacking herself in the face in the name of art. An artist friend and his wife sent this to me because they knew it would piss me off. This woman is the reason we artists get a bad name. It makes people think we're all just a bunch of unemployed, melodramatic, losers trying reeally hard to be deep. 

So Starting with this vid. I'll be posting performances pieces that I both love and hate over the summer. In the future I'll be delving into new artists whose works are controversial and disturbing and sharing the point of view of various members of the Branch View Artists Collective.

@SheWhoSpeaksClearly -I think her point is. Im a bad, bad artist and I need to be punished. The "meaning" had something to do with the dichotomy between a woman's outside appearance versus what was really going on in her life or inside her head. Whatever. It doesn't connect. The reason it doesn't connect is because what she has done is picked something controversial and shocking to do and then come up with a reason why she's doing it afterward. Thats not a good idea for anyone watching.

@MikeyChatman honestly I didnt get that this was art! I guess i didn't read. I didnt' know why she is doing this. Doesn't make sense. I'm not an artist no, The vid is just weird. Honestly. As a non art guy I'd have to give it a thumbs down.
