Ok; here's a breakdown. 1. AWD is absolutely the best thing to have for overall FORWARD traction. 2. Screw everything you've heard; TIRES stop a car. TIRES make a car go; they are the translator between the car and the road. Okay, now 3. There's a frictional constant/ coefficient called "Mu" (μ). μ is determined by an object's mass, weight (gravity's effect) and inertia. When μ is overwhelmed, traction is lost. Ken's car, has MORE than enough power to overwhelm μ, regardless of AWD.
His car have so much power and torque that he can easily drift untill its awd car.
So much power that wheels are able to spin. And the other hand he have still enough traction without losin speed as he needs it.
And in the vid point 3:50 he push gas and brake pedal at the same time. Car brakes have more effect to front wheel as rear. So the brakepower is like.. 70-30 front-rear and able to lock front wheels and still keep rear wheels going.
Sorry my bad english, hope you guys understand. :)
like, there's no doubt that this is real, but at 3:50, how does he do that with an awd subaru? I don't get how the awd chassis doesn't give him more traction.
did he modify the car to rear wheel drive? because I don't get how he does some of this stuff when he still has tread on his tires.
it is cool as hell though. I first saw this stuff on rob's fantasy factory
he shoud be in the movies :D
