I too born and raised in Kitimat. Even though I live in the prairies with my own family, Kitimat will always be my home and I look forward to visiting once or twice a year. We need more videos like this. I wish I had some to post.
Wasn't service centre. That was Nechako Centre where the Dominion Day parade was happening. The old Shop Easy store is just god awful. The guy who owns it refuses to fix it up or even sell it.
Especially loved the crowd scenes and the kids playing. Back then, people seemed to be a lot gentler -- not so much swearing and anger. How 'bout those hairdos? :)
