  • Absolutely fantastic. Can't imagine those descinding scales on thirds and those grupettos that makes a unique performance of Fantasie Impromptu.

Sultanov will live forever, Carlos Paredes Abad, Peru

  • I really like Vladimir's arrangement of this, specially the chromatic part using thirds. I also like how Sultanov interpret it. Too bad Alexei died at an early age. :(

  • @lalalol1000 Do you know what the whole story was? Wiki only tells me "The first prize was not awarded"...

  • Самое лучшее слышанное мной исполнение Шопена на этом свете

  • blame the 1995 chopin competition jurors who killed him. really.

just give him the first prize...

  • touches the heart

  • супер!!!!

  • @carlosparedesa

Those deviations from the score are in the spirit of “impromptu” and quite mind-opening to how the piece can be played.

If he actually played those thirds and extra ornaments “impromptu” in concert, then it’s even more impressive.

  • the thirds wahaaat the fuuuck

  • Damn. He freakin' ATTACKS the keyboard! Yet he treats the gentle parts as such. I'm very sorry I've discovered him so late and very sorry indeed to hear of his passing. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • え!うう嘘!!!
