Those deviations from the score are in the spirit of “impromptu” and quite mind-opening to how the piece can be played.
If he actually played those thirds and extra ornaments “impromptu” in concert, then it’s even more impressive.

Absolutely fantastic. Can't imagine those descinding scales on thirds and those grupettos that makes a unique performance of Fantasie Impromptu.

I really like Vladimir's arrangement of this, specially the chromatic part using thirds. I also like how Sultanov interpret it. Too bad Alexei died at an early age. :(
