That's great because when I started playing chrom about a year ago another excellent harmonica player told me it takes 10 years to become "good." At 57, I don't know if I can wait that long, and apparently - as in many other endeavors - a lot depends on the individual's innate ability, motivation, practice time, etc. Your answer matches what I've read about Brendan Power, i.e. that after 3 years of learning, he decided to make the harmonica his life. Conclusion: 3 or 4 years can be enough.
Hey Flip- Very very nice. I just ran across your stuff recently and have been really enjoying your sound. Keep up the great work. Sandy W.
