I have this book and "Perfect world" is my fave. poem in it. Exene has inspired me frequently with her music, her spoken word, and her activism. Plus, the WAY she writes every word is ART- pure and simple!
( I myself have the creativity to do it... just no longer the patience)

I was living in Columbia, MO back when X played The Blue Note (if memory serves) in the early 80's. I didn't know anything about them, thought about going and didn't. The next week I bought "Under the Big Black Sun" and have been kicking myself over missing the chance to see them live for the last 25+ years. Great, great band.

This is interesting to me. I went to Rockbridge High, and dated a girl from Hickman High (where Exene is in this video), and she used to love X. Its just strange how the universe brings things together again at different times.
