  • The smallest and most important line in this-

"Did I mention it's totally free?"

Knytt stories is brilliant. I think I've got the basics of the Level editor and I'm working on strange levels. One of which tries to be atmospheric while also having about 5 or 6 colours total not including power ups. (Background, ground, water, alternate ground/character and a bunch of special effects.)

I've not gotten the skills to make an open-ended level yet, most of my levels are entirely linear.

  • Thanks for introducing this great game!

  • This is how I found overgrowth.

This is how I found Knytt stories.

    :)

  • Everyone, if you're thinking about playing this, and own a DS, you should totally get the DS port! Although it adds 0.5sec load time between screens, it feels absolutely great to play this at night while lying in bed haha

  • U sound creepy

  • Wonderful insight, I'm faving this video.

Knytt Stories is still very influential for me, regarding the atmospheres it is capable to deliver. Sound design is extremely minimalist, but those few elements actually helped in setting an entire universe of feelings, making the experience unique and refreshing. The game is free, quick, light, and deep. These should be the principles of modern game-making communities, which I strongly support.

Thank you for sharing Knytt Stories with us,

    KKS

  • Best platformer I've ever played.Knytt was also good.

  • I love it too :)

    Check other Nifflas game: NightSky

    It's very relaxing too.

  • i honestly wouldn't have it if you didnt do the end bit where you showed how to get it

  • I just released that this video introduced me to this game. And I didn't even know what else was on this channel back then. Now I hate myself.
