I'll be joining you there! But that's a classic comedic technique right there, they should've known better than to use it in a serious ad.
In fact a silent film from the '20s has Harold Lloyd trying to move a frame-house over a railroad, where it gets stuck and we keep seeing an approaching train; he moves it over before the train comes, but right away a second train comes from the other direction where he moved the house to and destroys it!
