The Japanese do not have a high market for whale, and in fact, the amount the take every year is what the very same organization that the Sea Shepherd claims to be enforcing tells them to take.

However, Sea Shepherd and Watson ramming ships, cutting off the whalers, endangering everyone's lives, throwing chemicals that are, ironically enough, poisonous to sea life as well as toxic to humans is criminal. The only reason they are not jailed is because of money and unregulated waters

@ArcanaIntellego what panzerwolf said isn't true at all. Watson has only rammed pirate vessels twice and the Yushin Maru once going at only 10 knots. But the Whalers have rammed SSCS on three seperate occasions. The SSCS throws byutric acid on the decks of ships not in the ocean so it can't really harm ocean life.

@panzerwolf494 investigations did confirm that the Yushin Maru No. 3 and the Kaiko Maru rammed the Bob Barker and Steve Irwin respectively. They did place some blame on SSCS too but they deduced that the whaling ships were the ones that turned them into SS ships

@panzerwolf494 it was 50-50 outcome. NZ blamed Pete Bethune for negligence and staying in the way of the Shonan maru's path and the Shonan Maru for continuing and not going on the other direction

The last one is a crock. One country has decided, government wise, to attempt arrest of whalers from Japan and that would be for steaming into that country's waters unwelcomed. Legally nothing can be done as the whalers do not whale in any country's waters.

Go read something other than an SS website, SS loon, you might learn what really goes on

@panzerwolf494 you are mistaken. THE WHALERS rammed SSCS ships. They rammed the Ady Gil, the Bob Barker, and the Robert Hunter. The "chemicals" they throw is just rotten butter and that is not dangerous to human life and they only throw it on the decks of whaling vessels so it doesn't get into the sea anyways. The Australian, NZ, many Latin American, and South African governments called for the arrests of whalers if they dock in their countries

sea shepards are the biggest pussies and they do deserve a t.v. show to promote fake drama. they aren't accomplishing anything besides getting rating for a t.v. show and destroying and wasting millions of dollars on a cause that has no reward. japanese are going to contnue and get more agressive and the shepards can't do a single thing besides throw beuteric acid on board? lmfao are you serious what losers
