To be honest I've always found people in Paris to be quite friendly, I think they just don't respond nicely to obnoxious/loud/ignorant behaviour which I see from so many tourists (which is fair enough).

@likedudeftw Not true. I'm Australian and I can safely say after my trip there, they just hate people that aren't French that are in their country.

If you're traveling if France and you're an American, say you're from Canada. If you're traveling in France and you're Canadian, say you're from Quebec.

If you go in Paris you can think that french people are arrogant and selfish, people from Paris are like that even with other french people ! But you got this impression only in Paris because on the contryside it is so much different ! believe me, and if you go to France try to get out of Paris to see other kind french people ! :)

@NMWMN She's a comedian, not a tour guide. Her humour tends to be on the pessimistic, self deprecating side. It's what she does. Though I can see how it would be offensive to some, most people that are familiar with her take it as that - comedy. She does seem like a odd choice for a LonelyPlanet guide because of that though...
