You don't want to clog your drains, so just squirt dish soap on the grease and rub it until the grease chemically changes with the soap.

  • Could you use you home-made soap for that to ?

  • I think I'm going to make some lye heavy soap, with just a bit more lye than it takes to saponify all the oil. If there are lye molecules that are free, they will mix with the oil and form soap. So yes, I think it would work if I made it myself.

    Sometimes I make some soaps, for home-use so to speak. ;-)

    I love home-made soaps, they smell so good, and at least I know what I put into it. ;-)
