This game is a timeless classic. I swear, no matter how much time passes, as soon as I see the Homeworld 2 box sitting on the shelf I have to fight myself to try and ignore it and play my newer games.

I like the part at 3:35. There's all these missiles and laser fire closing on that big ship; it's taken heavy damage and leaking energy. But, then it's like the captain says: "You think we're finished!? Well then, suck on this mother-!" *FROOO* Massive ion cannon fire. Epic.

Why do the effects look so much better in this vid than in others? Is that a mod of some sort?

It is a mod, but as far as I know the effects are the same as the original game. Maybe it's because I zoomed in closer to the ships?? A lot of HW2 vids don't zoom in close enough, in my opinion.
