Can you PM me too? I would like to know more about him. Even I find amusing the fact that people think he is infallible. SubhanAllah.

@Naturelle02 you are right we have to follow the Prophet S.A.W.S but can you tell me how will we know how Prophet SAWS used to pray? if your answer is through hadiths then you should perhaps know that Abu Hanfia was a tabayin he saw Sahaba and recorded hadiths from them.we are not obeying Abu Hanifa we obey the Prophet so please dont try to divert topic saying that we consider Abu Hanifa above the Prophet

@qwertyfshag LOl ahahaah keep that to ur self and how lamee of u jsut cuse of that lol

Abu Hanifa was a great Imam may Allah be pleased with him. But most scholars today acknowledge his knowledge of hadith wasn't as strong as other Imam's. That doesn't mean he's any less of a righteous person and no one is ma'soom.

@MultiKolera what about the ppl before Abu Hanifa were they doing haram [not doing a duty];(btw don't say me Muhammad was alive, cuz there is like 67 years difference)

Hanabali is the best school of thought because it allows me to masturbate. All the other schools forbid it and I'm horny.
I think the issue for some salafis is: some people take the opinion of Abu hanifa over an authentic Hadith

@ilovetodrinkblood What they fail to understand is what is sahih, changes over time as well. At the time of Imam Abu Hanifa the chains were shorter hence easy to catergorise, the later generations had more work to do and rely on trust e.t.c. Also a sahih hadith can be classified daeef/moudu by another scholars e.g. like the issue of Rade Shams where Jalal Udeen Suyuti [ra] says it is Mutawatir and Ibn Taymiyya [ra] says it is Mauduu. There are nother arguments one can use as well.

@hanafifiqh Point taken. However, what of those that accept a hadith as saheeh yet still reject it in favour of an opinion? I think this is the gripe some salafis have.
I am by no means a person of knowledge but am trying to learn. One thing I have read is that during the time of Abu Hanifa there was a problem of fabricated ahadith floating around, hence he was more cautious when accepting hadith and favoured analogy in certain situations.

@ilovetodrinkblood Many a time the 'opinion' is based on several ahadith rather than a single hadith in Bukhari. Sometimes actions of sahabah are given preference. There are many Usools [principals] of fiqh which need to be understood before a ruling is taken. A usool book i recommend is Usool e Shashi if you can study with a shaykh will be good. With regards to your question about Imam Abu Hanifa, Shaykh Abdur Raheem Abu Nauman has done a good rebuttle which should answer that point and more.
