Peter Fiduccia, host of Woods N' Water, demonstrates a tending grunt sequence. This grunt is made by a buck tailing a doe - trying to get the doe to stop and mate. Fiduccia says this is one of the hardest buck calls to make because it will be difficult to get the buck to move away from the doe that is already in front of him. • Eric, I think the purpose is to make the more dominant buck in the area think that another, lesser buck has moved into this harem and is humping his ladies and possibly bring him in for a shot

  • I've learned alot from Peter's videos. His snorts actually work. I've gotten deer to stop and hang around after snorting at me.

  • ok, is it better to do about 2 grunts, stop, 2 more, stop, or just one overy 10-15 seconds? and my knight&hale's tube is like a bendy straw, shorter makes 1-2 years bu grunts, about hafway makes 3 years old buck grunts, and all the way makes 4-6 year old buck grunts. i use it about halfway out, that way a bigger buck will come and be sure he can out "my" deer...

  • I have come to realize that even if you don't call correctly the deer in the area will stay because they are very curious creatures. For example I was stalking a buck while he was chasing a herd of doe, and i made a long doe bleet unlike any of the instructions anyone would give you. This stopped the deer in his tracks and made him turn around which gave me a chance to take the shot. So in most cases if you make a similar noise to what they are use to hearing it will stop them and get them in

  • @cancerkid888 Noone knows for sure.. When I use a grunt call Im usely just using it to make other deer assume that, that particular location is safe...for example if a buck hears a grunt (when not in the rut) It may come in just because it thinks that the area in which the grunt came from is safe because its already being occupied by another deer...So if a Deer is there its not likely that theres a predator or a person around, also there could be a good food source in that area.

  • As a hunter ive heard different people say that this particular grunt means this. this type means that. Ive always just used what was taught to me but does anybody actually know for a fact or with any evidence what the grunts actually mean to the deer? What do they just study the reactions of the deer to the grunts?

  • The Extinguisher deer call has all of the deer sounds built in and you can just slide the exterior slide to access them all. No taking the call apart to change vocalizations.

  • i went and got me a call that has adult buck young buck doe and fawn all in one i get all my buck with young buck and do what hes doing but open your hands slowly while blowing

  • men i get 6 calls in one with mi primos call !!!!!

  • eric is exactly right why the hell would you tending grunt a buck that is about to hump his doe? i would prefer to use the buck growl!

  • how and what do you use to produce a fallow deer call

  • no dumb ass you act like a breeding deer from a distance if you see other deer breeding or in rut
