Buddha Relics Meditation

A Buddha Relics Meditation ~ Over the Full Moon and the powerful 12/12/08 weekend, Raphael and I were blessed to be in the presence of the loving kindness of the Buddha Relics here in Sedona, Arizona. Just like many sacred sites, the energy of these relics can be felt for many miles. It was my second time in the presence of the relics, but it was no less powerful than the first. I was reduced to tears as I entered the temple space. The event is offered freely by the Maitreya Project along with individual blessings from Buddhist monks. You were also encouraged to bring you pets for a blessing also! So our Chico and Bella were blessed along with us. If you don't know what a Buddha Relic is, here is a short description. There is much more on the web site - http://www.maitreyaproject.org. Relics were found among the cremation ashes of Buddhist masters. They resemble beautiful pearl-like crystals. Buddhists believe the relics are produced as a result of the master's spiritual qualities of compassion and wisdom. Since we can all develop these qualities, the relics are a reminder of our own essential nature of purity and our inner potential to manifest that. The collection includes relics of the historical Buddha, the Buddha's closest disciples as well as many other well-known Buddhist masters. Visitors often report experiences of inspiration and healing when in the presence of the relics. While some are inspired to pray for world peace and to develop their inner wisdom, others are overcome by emotion as the powerful effects of the relics open their hearts to compassion and loving-kindness. Viewing holy relics inspires us to develop our own hearts and minds, to develop loving-kindness and compassion and to understand spiritual teachings. This is an incredible video and the essence of the Buddhist Relic Tour was shown completely. I attended the same tour when it was in Spokane WA Sept 30th 2007. It brought me the greatest blessing of my life. Just watching it with intent and donating to the maitra foundation listed at the end of the video I know will bring you the same miracles.
