2 questions. Where do u get the tool used in beggining of video to cut the foam. What is it called. And second is there any alternative to the Krystal Flash? thx.

@aspca226 Any hook you like will work just fine. The tool is a "Beavertail" foam cutter, from River Road Creations. I bought it in a Fly shop, but you can also find them on the internet. There are several different brands of crystal flash out there, but as for an entirely different material substitute I am not sure. The fly would probably work just fine with out any underwing material, if you are unable to find some flash. Thanks for watching, and hope this helps.

Why don't you cement the 2 peices of foam together at the head? Also, I like your whip finishing tool :-)

@cosmokenney Sorry it took so long to reply. The area at the head is so small it can sometimes make the head look messy with run off glue. Also I am a lazy tyer and it is not detrimental to the function and durability of the fly...........so I skip it. Thanks for watching.
