got it. Vidplay is a script that can be found on the wiki of Openmoko. The script family just calls vidplay. Now I just have to figure out what distro is it...

resolution in FR is 640x480 but video is 240x320 specially encoded and played on fullscreen. (Specially because you dont need to rotate FR resolution in order to play on full screen)
