a mass protest with widespread and distant reverberations throughout the land and the blogosphere if not all cyberspace. People are going to sense the betrayal in all these gimmicks counting on us sitting in front of a screen all day, video images and audio frequencies being streamed wherever we. A life without history, geography, chornology, logic, or nature. These too-clever webmasters of the universe (Zuckerberg wannabes) want consumption but what if there's no consumer? Await the revolt.

I'm going to protest this grievous offense by boycotting Rovi and removing every single copy of Angry Birds and its many sequels from all three of my iPods. What if David had tried to kill Goliath by putting a dumb bird in his slingshot? That would have been the most absurd, funniest joke in the Bible. The projectile would be mere "lunch" for the approaching giant who, by the time he'd had his fill of birds, would have had David for desert! This simply can't continue. We're about to witness

Rovi, creators of Angry Birds, have been license to wreck havoc with AllMusic.com and this internected site (formerly youtube.com). Formerly, I could trace Sinatra's career from 1935 through 1995 through purchased recordings. I could read an entire essay abou Bill Evans' last recording (Last Waltz). It's all been truncated and displaced into an ahistorical, meaningless, mind-numbing, insulting, dumbed-down video game--about as coherent and relevants as using red birds for slingshot ammo.

This is outrageouss, sad, depressing! Youtube was once a magnet for INDIVIDUAL HOBBYISTS, who simply wanted to share their videos. Now it's another interconnected social network profit-making pipedream--sheer greed taking us back to the 1990s "dot com" bust! Youtube is becoming youslesstube, with nothing but hurdles with dollar signs. And it's corrupted and a blown to smithereens the internet's most useful resource for finding information about recorded albums and their artists. All fragments.

I don't want to sell anything or make a profit. And I have a story (more than one) to tell about the neglected "Great American Songbook" and its greatest exponents, much of it on video. But I don't have an "organization," which is the assumption made by the youtube non-profit promotion. I guess there's no room for individual creativity--it's gotta be commerce or philanthropy. And I can no longer make any sense out of All Music Guide, a formerly invaluable resource, now a senseless "arcade"!
