Right to free speech shouldn't include right to verbal violence. It cannot trample the genuine rights of other people. Just like the right to drive vehicles shouldn't include trampling people underneath.
Politicians are especially required to be sensitive to the rights of people.

Canada, where the rights of some are trampled underfoot while the rights of others are defended with outrage and vehemence. Liberals cannot accept the views and convictions of conservatives, they consider them archaic, simple and cruel. Yet we are to treat them and their rights with the utmost respect or pay the price. I'm sure the poor bastard who said the same words spoken in every blue colar work place in the nation on a daily basis will be sued. This is our Canada to dammit.

When Tom Lukiwski spoke out and let his feelings be known, he was condemned by the press, and by the gay community. Right or wrong, that`s how he felt at the time. The gay community and the press on the other hand suddenly have a God-given right to play the video that was A: Stolen by the NDP, B: Never intended to be shown in public, and C: Is at least 16 years old. HE HAD, AND STILL HAS A RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH!! Does "mymoosejaw" and other gays understand English?? I think not!
