How to Change the Visual Effects Settings in Windows 7

This will show you how to change the visual effect settings you want to use for the appearance and performance of Windows 7 on your computer. When you make any changes in the Ease of Access Center, the visual effects settings below get reset back to the default setting automatically.

If you want to help improve performance, then these are the most common ones to uncheck:
1. Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing
2. Animations in the taskbar and Start Menu
3. Enable transparent glass
4. Fade or slide menus into view
5. Fade or slide ToolTips into view
6. Fade out menu items after clicking
7. Show shadows under windows
8. Slide open combo boxes

when I check Fade or slide menus into view, it always slides. How do I make it fades??? pls help

Was wondering which effect is it with the one, where you hovver over lets say the skype logo with your mousewhich is on bottom bar whilest your on facebook, and it shows you the skype page and when you hovver the mouse off the skype logo your back to your facebook page
