SV2DOF's APRS with APRS/CE 1.02, a PDA (windows mobile 6) and a Kenwood TM-D700E working through a bluetooth to serial dongle.
It's a FireFly Bluetooth Serial Adapter (RN-240F) from Roving Networks
See (unfortunately in greek) at http://users.pie.sch.gr/gxry/?HAM_RADIO:APRS:Pocket_APRS
a hires photo and links
Same configuration and ext. battery power (4x1.2V NiMH) worked OK with a Kenwood TH-D7E

  • I just found the website today for ppc ce, it is w w w.aprsce dot c o m & appears not too well supports but was glad to find an option for my old ppc 2003v2 operating system on the ipaq. Cost is fourty which seems high, but it will send messages.

Question for SV2DOFf,.. please advise about your BT dongle and how you got everything to "talk" to each other. Thx kc7kgq

  • So the Pocket PC and the TM-D700 are both connected through BT to the GPS ?

  • where can i download that application ? is it freeware ?
