Some of those 'old wives' were pretty smart.

It IS a common reaction to the first shave, and not just for our friends from the Middle East.

Speaking of which, my nephew has a friend/classmate from Tunisia who tried out for the swim team his freshman year. He shaved and waxed EVERYTHING. 2 months later he had to make an appointment at a salon because he had, basically, a field of kudzu all over his body.

As a show of support, half the team went to the salon for waxing.

I found taht cold sores can be healed up pretty quick by a solution of 1 part hydrogen peroxide (from the drugstore) and 3 parts water. Slosh it around in your mouth but pull that part of your lip in so it gets it too. Do this for about two minutes then spit it out and drink some orange juice to kill that peroxide taste. About every four hours do this, Usually the sores will close up and start to heal after one or two times, but keep doing it.
