Model Trains Video continues its ground-breaking model railroading reality video reality series with more, live unrehearsed video! This volume, shot at an actual op session of Charlie Comstock's Bear Creek & South Jackson, shows the operating crew running trains using prototype practices and how they solve the issues necessary to get the trains over the road in a realistic manner. • Your trains are moving slow always. It is boring.

  • That's what the real ones do - they're not the Indy 500 you know. Real passenger trains run faster, but I don't model a prototype that runs passenger trains regularly.

  • What is the music called?

  • This is royalty free music by TracksNow, SweetSpots, and Impact.

  • Uh, I don't know these geeks. And I didn't take much note of their appearance. And while model railroading is not my hobby, I can appreciate the effort of their work.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I would rather hang out with these guys than a bitter asshole such as yourself

  • I'm a Supt. on a joint BNSF / UP property. Not sure 'how' I clicked on this video, but I was amazed. I had no idea model railroading had 'operating' sessions. I'm not even sure what one is, but apparantly there's more to HO trains than the ones I remembered from my youth.

Not sure what all was going on here (I watched it w/o sound), but one thing for sure. When something 'goes on the ground' the issue is resolved a bit easier than it is in my world. LOL

  • @will77537

Great to see new young blood in the hobby!

  • @Trolleymoose

I'm twelve and LOVE the hobby. Im in a club too, the youngest guys there are me and caleb, who's 16. I spend at least 60 hours in my basement each week, Or im at base ball or basket ball. Any how, the hobby should most definetly be promoted.

  • You're not looking very close ... we have guys in their 30s, 40s, and 50s as well. as regulars.

  • Great operating scenes, outstanding equipment, and beautiful scenery. However, like all operating secessions I see a lot of old guys like me (60 years old). I hope more young people get interested in the hobby before it dies out.

  • Just grab a throttle and run your train. Tell everybody to stay out of your way if they don't want a cornfield meet. ;-)
