No dear all marasi's are not muslims some are hindus also as in area near amritsar and lahore some marasi are singers also as respectable Wadali brothers of Punjab , Saleem , Hans Raj Hans actually marasis are a uncuttable part of very rich punjabi culture they used to entertain people when there was no means by going from village to village

After unfortunate 1947, muslim marasis goes to Pakistan and some remains in India.But one thing is common, they are all PUNJABIZ

Thanks for your comment. Yes, all of them are Punjabis to the core but with due respect to 'mirasis', Hans and Wadali brothers are not the same, yes Saleem is, who is Hans Raj's guru-bhai.

No,I want to correct you that Saleem is not guru of Hans infact Hans is Guru of Saleem and Saleem's father have trained Hans Raj Hans.

In your opinion, are Mirasis a type of Jatts? They look similar to Jatts: Tall, sturdy, swarthy, and they both seem to be care-free with a penchant for travel.

No they are not Jatts. All the attributes you desribed are typical punjabi atributes and these cut accross boundaries of caste and religion in Punjab
