@1288881 There`s a point at which, just before the plane takes of where everybody (including flight attendants) need to sit down. Once that happens, feel free to turn your camera on. The attendants wont get up again for a little while, and by this point ll electronics will be allowed, so it wont matter if they see you then.

@Pappy55 If there was a real safety concern with the use of electronic devices of any kind, they would not be permitted on aircraft. Since they are permitted, the possible effects must not be very severe, otherwise they wouldn't be allowed onboard.

@1288881 Actually, if your using the older style tape recording cameras, the image burning laser emits radiation, also, electric motors emit radiation. Only tiny amounts, but with all the technical equipment so sensitive these days, anything could happen. You should be okay turning it on during flight, but sensitive instruments are relied on during T, T & L.

ANY Electronic devices have a small EMF (Electro Magnetic Field) which can interfeer with instruments and sensetive decives on the aircraft. There is plenty of cabeling that runs behind the ceeling and side panels. I know its highly unlikley that it will effect anything but IT IS still possible. Safety rules in avation are there for a reason..
