The CD credits show Ernie Watts playing tenor sax on one of the tracks but does not have his name listed for this song. Does anyone know for sure who played the tenor solo? Two other sax players are listed but they are listed as alto and bari. Thanks

I looked at the album to make sure but it's not listed. But I played congas and percussion in Dan's band in 1984-85 when he had this hit and I remember him saying that it was Ernie Watts.

Thats the video from the movie 'Streets of Fire". This is the real artist who sang it for the soundtrack.

Nonsense, Soul Train had many white artists. Off the top of my head, Elton John and David Bowie both appeared.
