You're going to catch lots of flak now that this was prominently advertised in the FWW newsletter.
I give you high marks for getting that motor rebuilt.
Funny how you used the drywall bucket as a counterweight.
But you know the rest, as plenty of users have already and will undoubtedly continue to let you know...
Use a pushstick, goggles, HEARING protection with that old screamer, and don't use the miter gauge with the fence.
I hope you're still OK.

Hey buddy,
This video on how not to use tools is 2 years old. How about coming back and letting us know if you're still alive...or at least have all your fingers left.

...my dad had the same craftsman saw...built alot with it....

....i wouldn't be doing that stuff in front of the little lady, i took a chunk out of my hand a couple times, you don't want her to see that...

You have a daughter, (and I wife I assume)...people who depend on you and you do this kind of white trash hillbilly project that could mame or possibly even kill you!!!??? And no safety goggles!!! Man, you need a serious whippin'

way to use the fence and the miter gage. you are my hero.

As the others have said, using the miter gauge and the fence is a bad idea. You should either use the miter gauge or the fence, but not both at the same time. By doing that you are asking for a kickback.

Miter gauge used with fence, BAD idea!
Couldn't you of used a drill to get it spinning or wrapped a string around lawn mower style? Then you can say you have a pull start table saw!
Nice old saw!

I'm doing a blog now to organize these videos and give the details of how I built my 1st house. Please check that out too: just look for stepbystephousebuilding on on google's blogsearch dot google d0t c0m site
Happy uploading everyone, and thanks for watching. Please do subscribe to JDAT747 channel to catch some more serious construction tips ( although not all are safe ). The house did come out pretty good once I was all done.

@ panther, et al
Thanks for leaving a comment on "Old Table Saw". Yep, I was just screwing around for the camera, though I must admit that I did not know it was bad to use miter and fence together at the time, so thanks for educating me. My daughter is a beautiful 13 years old now. LOL, and she doesn't seem to have any traumatic memories of my early days in the construction business.
