That's really cool! The mechanism that elevates that ball back up to the starting point is a great design idea. I bet one of the hardest parts of the build was to prevent the ball from falling off the track in the curves because of the centrifugal forces. Does the machine run off of battery power or AC ? The motor looks like it came from a appliance like a fridge to run a fan. To make the elevator spin slowly did you have to put a sort of gearbox to change the ratio?

@101xfmrogers Hey, thanks for watching Yves! Yes, it took a lot of trial and error to make sure the ball stayed on the track. We had to adjust the track a lot to either slow the ball down, or speed it up, depending on the situation. The motor does use AC power and it is an old rotiserary motor, which was used for cooking turkeys and chickens over the BBQ. It has slow RPM's but a lot of torque. It was so slow, we had to use a hacksaw to open it up and change the gear ratio to make it spin faster.
