I think this was a pretty challenging theme this week in asking you to capture images taken at "F8". I have to say that you guys did a great job thinking outside the box and forcing yourself to shoot images only at "F8". You will find this weeks critique in the same video as the TOP 5.

Below you will find the TOP 5, please be sure to VOTE for your favorite image as well as "LIKE" and "Comment" on this post.

The NEW THEME for Jan 28th-29th is courtesy of something LIL said in her last video "Time waits for no one". Let's see how creative you can get with this weekends theme. You can start taking images as of Friday Jan 27th until Tuesday Jan 31st. You have until Thursday Feb 2nd to post your images in the FORUM to be considered for the Top 5 and Critique. Good Luck!!!

  • Jared, with that last one, the photo of all sports people, I noticed that 2 of the girls are kinda leaning on each other when the others have a bit of space between then and it's pretty even spaced too, so maybe that's something to think about in terms of consistancy

  • "Squoal"? Isn't it a squirrel? Love the way Americans pronounce English words, such as mirror ("meerawr"), water (wahdurr), etc! :-)

Kilkennycat - keep shooting girl, consistently interesting photos and that's inspiring.

  • @thwinaung123 See Jaredpolin's video called "Understanding Depth of Field." There are many great videos on YouTube explaining this. Focus is connected with depth of field when considering your distance from the subject, but it can seem complicated to begin with. Manual focus sets sharpness on your subject according to the distance from you - aperture controls how "deep" that focus is (among other things). It is best to watch a few vids and then try it out rather than only reading about it though

  • @pef23 thank you so much!!!!!

  • @pef23 thank you for explanation :)
