As someone who works in a related industry (I do telephone surveys) let me tell you that this doesn't help you not get called. If you don't want to get called again, you need to wait until they have told you what firm they represent, and then say "I'd appreciate it if you'd add this number to your do-not-call list, or remove it from your calling list." We are legally obligated to do that if you use those terms.
