This video will teach you how to make reflections in adobe photoshop creative suite 3, if you do not understand the video you may also read this description on step by step instructions.

1.You;re going to start off by creating a new project once you have adobe photoshop Creative suite 3 open, name the next project anything you want, its of your own choice.

2.(Recommended) Select your paint bucket tool and make sure that the color is set to black for better options, or any color you want, shade in the backround of your project so that it is the color you want, or black, as I said.

3.Now select your text tool and make the color white according to your backround, anything, or any color works. Write anything you want if your text is short such as 3 letters choose, 72pt, any size you want.

4.Then, you're going to go up to image in the bar atop the software, once you entered the image tab, select duplicate image.

5.You;re then going to grab your moving tool and drag the new duplicant image into the main image, line them up so that they are underneath eachother, and over each other, like in the video.

6.Now your going to go to edit which is right next to the image tab your going to go down on the edit tab until you get to the tranform option, once you have opened up that option your going to scroll through the transformation options until you get to "flip vertically" now your picture will appear to be flipped over, varyin for the main image.

7.Now your going to go voer to your layers tab, and the first once will be the one that you duplicated,Click the duplicant layer once so that that is the layer that you are modding/editting, Now right click and scroll through the options until you get to razterise Layer/type.

8.Now your going to go over to your tools tab and select the gradient tool, it is toegether with the paint tool for some people who dont know where it is. Before you do anything with the gradient tool your going to want to press the letter "Q" on your keyboard, you will now enter quick mask mode in the image, your going to get the gradient tool and slide it down the middle of both image.

9.Once you have done that a red and black fade will appear on your image dont worry that is not a flaw that is what is supposed to happen, because you;re in quick mask mode.

10. Now you going to press "q" on your keyboard one more time to exit quick mask mode, now a moving box will appear on your image, do not worry, once again this is not a flaw it is supposed to happen to your image because you disabled the quick mask mode.

11. Now on your keyboard your going to hit delete like about 4 times, the bottom writing of your image will dissappear slowly, this means its creating the reflection, until you get it to the desired dissappearence, keep going if you think that the image is not faded out enough.

  • If anyone is to watch this movie, jump directly to 2:13...

... because it takes this guy over 2 minutes to:

    - Set up a new layer with a color.

    - Put some text on it.

    I mean, seriously?

    *Taking time on said actions*

It took me 23.13 seconds to do what you accomplished in the first 2 minutes.

I know, this video is old... but come on?

  • @Torbyz then don't listen....just watch and read the text in the desciption bar

  • Hello, if you kill all the processes running in the background, Vista will run faster and smoother but its still junk.

  • thats the 1st thing that comes to you mind.... Mcgriddle.. >_>

  • Buy a MAC, this is normal PC behavior.. Notice how his machine is barely able to figure out how to perform properly!!

  • Your retarded D: messing up with the color, nub <.<

  • This is a great demonstration. Very Easy. Thanks

  • very useful video thank you ....(NOT!).... I can't hear a thing your saying

  • all you have to do is copy the same layer then save the image. then select the bottom text: free transform:and pass it thru itself. much easier.

  • The voice is totally unclear, you need to boost your mic input. I can't hear a thing your saying and my Vol is up...... Thats probably why people are not commenting
