@Jakelol1980 Correct, agian I say it's just for the video. I teach escrima. I write book about joints, presure points, and movement of the arm. I wear Gi to test my student and to siminars. During class I wear street clothing. I have a student that wear suit and tie. He a lawer and wears suit and tie dailey. Not only I teach them but they teach me. I am a student myself.

@jj3771 What im trying to say is that you will NEVER meet someone in a knife fight in a Gi and you should never train with one becuse you will train for the wrong scenario.

@Jakelol1980 No need Gi to train. Respect for the Gi. No train with Gi. Gi during siminars. No Gi in class for defense cause you wear what you wear dailey so that if a life defense problam shall occur you used to movement in cloths. No Gi. Gi used here for video.

@snelpop That's why you have two legs. Right leg up. Block kick. You no stay in close after the jab. You go in, jab and go out. No stay in with knife.

putting your leg on the outside of the defender's may block his way out from your knife, but gives him a great option to kick you in the groin with minimal effort...
