I am not saying that a person needs a music degree to listen to and enjoy this piece, I just hate it when kids tell me they are music majors, and know everything; I've been a musician for over twenty years, and I can tell you, you will never know everything. You'll be lucky if you walk away with even a little knowledge of everything out there.

Just close your eyes and let it just kind of wash over you. Look up Coltrane's Ascension and try this. Just let the power of it kind of engulf you. Then once you've done that do the same thing with Cecil's Unit Structures. Don't think and just listen. You'll get it after that i think.

Ebbs like the current, intense like a storm, soft and full of mourning, murmuring like a stream, crying out in pain. The intervals he employs are mind boggling, and his rhythm and articulation are impeccable. Thanks for the upload, its amazing to actually see him perform this.
