@shehuweaves I was abusing them, I wasn't prescribed.

@MrCunth Take the meds as directed, keep your doctor informed of any changes, and let him/her know if you are not getting pain relief, before being tempted to take more than prescribed. There's a difference between dependance and addiction; slamming, snorting & taking more than directed is what gets people in trouble. Those who abuse this med for a buzz make it that much harder for people who have a legitimate reason and need it to function day by day. I Hope you get to feeling better :-)

@shazamm51 I agree. Ibogaine is a miracle drug for opiate addiction. It's too bad the FDA won't approve it. if they did allot of pharmaceutical companies would lose ALLOT of money. The DEA approved Oxycontin when they knew it could easily be abused and was very addictive. The hid the findings from the public. It's complete corruption of the US medical industry. It makes me sick!

I was taking obscene amounts of oxycodone, metadone, hydromorphone and xanax. I took my time tapering down for almost a year, until I was only taking 15mg of oxy and 0.25mg of xanax. At that time, I stopped completely and was only mildly sick for less than a week. I was addicted to opiates for more than ten years and have now been clean since March 26, 2009. I haven't looked back since and have not relapsed one time.

If u do to much of anything it gets bad

@Burnz2much I wake up thinking of them, I fall asleep thinking of them.
I've set myself up for a 2 week break, as they are SO addictive.
My god, I could for one now.
I didn't feel like this 2 weeks ago.
I regret it already.
More people need to be educated on all prescription drugs. The makers of the drugs don't care about anything but money. We are on our own in this battle.

@lauramac463 your an idiot if you think that. Maybe people need to stop abusing them. Tell me what kind of pain medicine takes away bone cancer? or any other cancer. What are you going to tell patients sorry just live with the pain?
