  • Hey, Jack, Britain has been plagued with reality rubbish for years and young actors and scriptwriters are finding very hard to get work now. Junk like Big Brother and Paris Hilton's Best Friend, unlike a good drama, can never be repeated, keeps actors out of work and has no DVD potential. Also the growth of rigged singing contests like The X Factor is a worrying trend.

  • @Glenn1967ful I always keep an eye on British culture with a mixture of anticipation and dread - because where Britain goes today, the rest of the world will follow tomorrow. When something like the Doctor Who reboot happens, that's great, but when it's Big Brother or similar . . .
