Just made this last night. Deviated a bit though, I added pig's feet alongside the pork shank.. I could not resist, hope you don't mind. It tasted amazing.

I HAD THIS MEAL IN WIESBADEN GERMANY A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO CALLED SCHWEINEHAXEN MIT BOHNEN AND IT WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. IT WAS SERVED WITH THE ENTIRE SHANK BUT QUITE AS LARGE AS THIS ONE, BUT A HEARTY SIZE AND IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST MEALS I HAVE EVER EATEN.

Damn, this looks SO good!
And as opposed to Calambaman, my God told me to eat a lot of Pork, because it's yummy - specially with beans - specially with Chef John's recipes ;)
