It is a shame that NYRA has thus far neglected to mention the recent passing of Sam Koza, the former NYRA bugler who has called the last 3 winners of the Triple Crown to post.
Poor Sam. At Belmont and AQ, when he's out there calling the horses to the track, he's playing to almost no one - the area's racing fans having either died off (literally), or are parked at home, staring at a computer screen.
It's certainly better up at Saratoga, where the fans actually attend races and are enthusiastic when he blows his horn.

Sam Koza, my father in law, played call at both parks from 1962 until 1987 when he retired.
