Despite the face that the title of this film include the name of Loie Fuller, it probably is not the famed dancer. Loie was a great innovator and her Serpentine Dance was so popular that film makers often presented it in their films to explore the possibilities of the cinema arts.

  • @HOMEnHIGH I am not quite sure if this was done outside or indoors. It may have been done outside for the sake of better lighting, but if it were windy, I do not think she would have been able to attain such perfect billowing circular forms. They would have been pushed up against her body in the direction the wind was blowing. Considering it is one hunderd and four years later, the location of filming can be open to speculation and debate:-)

  • @patoman881 .....why didnt she do it indoors....fuckin windy there............

  • She does do that same arched back-upsidedown head move I've seen Loie do in that more famous film:-)

  • That is Loie . . .

  • Are you sure that's an imitator ? it look like Loie to me.....
