Im from East Oakland California. My hood is fucked up. We average 120 deaths a year but you would never know it cause when you come to cali it looks so nice and sunny even in the winter. The main reason I wouldnt live in the windy city is the snow and how funny the people talk.

Wow. No wonder I've never been to the south side. Can't you people look around and see how colored people ruin everything? Good God. What a depressing view of Chicago. I will never ever go south of Fullerton. Never ever.

Thanks for the tour of my old neighborhood, Mr. Sims. I'm south side Irish Catholic, but I moved away decades ago.
I agree with your frank assessment of education, income and demographics.
I really enjoyed the virtual ride with you. It brought back memories.

@crumadonis apparently yea, it got probably the worst neighbourhoods in America with Englewood being no1. About 60,000 people with 60 murders a year it's bad

Thanks for the trip. Its fun cruising around with you. I'm from Germany but I have a sister in Chicago. In 2010 I've been there with my kids. We also took a couple of trips through the South Side although my sister hesitated. It was fun. Everybody was nice to us white people. We've been invited to a service on sunday morning wich was a great experience. At night we went to the Checker Board in Hide Park wich is the better-off-neighborhood in the South Side.
