@gregkrazanski I actually love 90's cartoons to. But what I was saying these shows are the one of my own childhood.

@FIlmXFilms you should have seen the mid 90s
-
@JohnnyNeedle Well, Disney did air SS's second season on Disney XD, so I don't think it's all of Disney's doing

You know what, i'm 12 years old and i think 2007 to 2008 was about the best we had in kids cartoons for for the last few years. i remember being 8, waking up on Saturdays and having to decide weather to watch this or transformers animated. But then, they all just got canceled and look what crap we have on TV now, the amazing world of gumball, really I miss my childhood.

Why is it that all the fantastic shows get canceled after a season or two and all the shitty shows go on for like 10 seasons?

@barryredfield TAS lasting longer doesn't mean anything. Plenty of good shows shined brief while inferior shows drag on. By that logic Power Rangers is better than Batman The Animated Series and Gargoyles.

@barryredfield I don't want to hate on TAS. It was my favorite show growing up. Episodes like Turning Point still astonish me. So I just want to add this: Neither show was canceled due to quality. TAS was canceled because someone at Fox didn't like Avi Arad. TSSM was canceled because it was a Sony made show, and when Marvel regained Spidey's TV rights, they simply wanted to make their own show with their own people. So how long either lasted is irrelevant.

Dedicated to the fans who wanted to see Peter and every character animated with the same candy coloured eyes that looked like a child's colouring book come to life. This is also true of character designs with characters so muscular (eg. Venom), that it didn't look like their scrawny legs could support them. Venom looked like Launchpad from "Ducktales" for Christ sake. lol When this show left the air, nobody seemed to notice. Hopefully they make something just a little more mature in the future.

@BlackMoonLilith Yet TAS lasted 5 seasons as opposed to only 2 for "Spectacular" Spiderman. No show can survive these days and SSM is no exception. Saturday mornings were all about the cartoon block of shows that Fox promoted and while TAS had a few flaws in its story, it was truly special to look forward to at the end of the school week. I agree that MANY scenes were reused for animation carried from one episode and then used a few episodes later, but the thrill of it could not be ignored.
Ultimate Spider-Man better be good...Spectacular had amazing potential and a great spider-man cartoon.

Don't forget Disney.
wiki: "Newsarama reported that the series' cancellation occurred just after The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment in December 2009."
Disney: we want our own spider-man cartoon so we'll cancel Spectacular with some economical excuse.
Writers: Fuck you, we were on something here.
DC comics: *cough* joins us *cough*
...And what do you know, four of the six Spectacular Spider-Man writers now writes DCs Young Justice...
