Iran attacks Kurds جنگ ٢٤ روزه سنندج

سوم اردیبهشت، ٣٠مین سالروز حمله رژیم ایران به شهر سنندج| این حمله که به دستور خمینی صورت گرفت و سعی رژیم در کنترل مجدد سنندج بود که بیش از یکسال بود، احزاب کرد کنترل آنجا را در دست داشتند و در حال مذاکره با دولت مرکزی برای دادن خودمختاری بودند. سنندج محاصره شد و بمباران هوایی و توپباران شدید و کشته شدن صدها شهروند بیدفاع کرد را در طی جنگ ٢٤ روزه به دنبال داشت.
رژیم اسلامی با قطع برق ، آب و جلوگیری از ارسال آزوقه غذایی برای مردم ،از ترفند ضد انسانی خود بهره ای نگرفت و از همین رو مردم بیدفاع سنندج را آماج حملات دد منشانه هوایی و توپخانه های خود قرار داد که در نتیجه ، تعداد بیشماری از مردم سنندج قتل عام شدند
جهانگیر رزمی در ۵ شهریور ۱۳۵۸ همراه با خلیل بهرامی از تیرباران عده‌ای از مخالفاین کرد و تنی چند از اعضای سازمان اطلاعات و امنیت شاهنشاهی ایران توسط صادق خلخالی عکس‌برداری کرد. این عکسها از بیم جان عکاس به صورت ناشناس در روزنامه اطلاعات منتشر شد. سپس آژانس خبری یونایتدپرس آن‌را با عنوان «جوخه آتش در ایران» در سطح جهانی منتشر کرد. این عکس برنده جایزه پولیتزر ۱۹۸۰ میلادی شد.
هویت رزمی تا سال ۱۳۸۵ نامشخص بود، در فهرست جوایز پولیتزر نیز نام او با عنوان عکاس ناشناس درج شده‌بود. در این زمان خبرنگاری از روزنامه وال استریت ژورنال پرده از هویت رزمی برداشت. در ۱۶ آذر ۱۳۸۵ هیئت داوران جایزه به طور رسمی رزمی را برنده اعلام کرد. او تنها برنده ناشناس در تاریخ این جایزه به شمار می‌رفت.

The Kurds of Iran, like elsewhere in the region, have always advocated the creation of autonomous Kurdish region, seeing themselves as a suppressed minority (they are 10% of Iran's 68 million). Their demands for limited autonomy, the right to use their language, teach Kurdish at their schools and appoint officials have all been turned down by successive Iranian regimes. When the Islamic revolution took place in 1979, many Kurds supported it, seeing it as a window of opportunity for them to obtain concessions from the new rulers of Tehran. When the new clerics adopted a no-compromise attitude no different from that of the Shah, the disappointed Kurds took up arms in March 1979.
Regime cut hydro and electricity in a hope to surrender city. But city didn't surrender, so regime begins to bombardment of city and kill civilians.Guerrilla decided to leave city to avoid more civiliant casualty.
In Sanandaj, Iran, 11 Kurdish prisoners were executed by a firing squad following a 30 minute trial under Shiite cleric Sadegh Khalkhali. Jahangir Razmi, a photographer for Irans independent Ettelaat newspaper, captured the execution on film. Within hours an anonymous photo of the execution ran across 6 columns of the paper. On Sep 8 the newspaper was seized by the Foundation for the Disinherited, a state-owned holding company. On April 14, 1980, the photo won a Pulitzer Prize. In 2006 Razmi made public 27 images from the execution that he had kept hidden.
On August 26, 1979, Bahrami learned that a judge he knew would be trying a group of Kurdish militants the following day at the Sanandaj airport. In a 30-minute trial, 11 prisoners were charged with crimes of firearm trafficking, murder, and inciting riots, and were sentenced to death. The men were blindfolded and led outside to the airfield, where they were lined up several meters from their executioners. Razmi was unhindered by security forces, allowing him to stand behind the rightmost executioner and photograph the killings.
